Cardiff Polyphonic Choir presents Mozart Requiem

We begin our sixtieth anniversary celebrations with a stunning concert in the iconic setting of Llandaff Cathedral.
The evening opens with three contrasting yet complementary Marian works: Durante’s glorious setting of the Magnificat (formerly attributed to Pergolesi), Colin Mawby’s Ave Verum, and Poulenc’s transcendent Litanies à la Vierge Noire. Following these is Mozart’s timeless Requiem.
We are thrilled to welcome four world-class soloists: Jessica Cale, Rebecca Afonwy-Jones, Joshua Owen Mills, and Dan D’Souza. For this special occasion, we will collaborate with the British Sinfonietta and will be conducted by Thomas Blunt.
This promises to be a memorable evening for all, and an especially moving one for past and present members of the Cardiff Polyphonic Choir and its many friends. With Llandaff Cathedral hosting a bar, we hope you can join us for an evening of exquisite music, shared memories, and a toast to this milestone anniversary.
