Dyslexic book publisher hopes Cardiff visit will inspire more authors

A businessman who was told he was ‘stupid’ at school is visiting Cardiff this week – encouraging future authors to publish their book.

Matt Bird will be speaking at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre on Harbour Drive from 10.30-11.45am on March 2 to mark World Book Day.
Matt, a business and social entrepreneur who lives in London, is dyslexic and was written off by his teachers. He has gone on to speak in more than 50 countries to one million people, write 20 books and has recently launched PublishU, a publishing house.

 He is particularly targeting those with dyslexia – which he calls his ‘superpower’ – and those who lack confidence in writing a book.
“I have always got a buzz from helping other people achieve something they never thought they could.”
