New Mass Vaccination Centre to open at former Toys R Us store

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board will be opening a fourth Mass Vaccination Centre as part of its Mass Vaccination programme to protect its adult population from Covid 19 as quickly as possible. The Health Board is working in partnership with Cardiff Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council to increase capacity for vaccinations and the new Bayside MVC will enable additional capacity of up to 2,500 vaccines per day, which will be dependent on vaccine supply. Every Cardiff and Vale GP Practice now Offering COVID-19 Vaccine

GP practices throughout Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan are now offering COVID-19 vaccinations to priority groups in the community. All 60 practices across the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board area are inviting residents aged 80 and over to receive the vaccination at the local practice, with those over 75 due to also be invited shortly. The practices are playing an important role in contributing to the Health Board’s Mass Vaccination Programme, with the aim to keep the population of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan safe.
