Two sisters have set out to raise funds for a South Wales mother with stage four inflammatory breast cancer.
Katie, from Cardiff, was diagnosed in January 2022 and the aggressive cancer has since spread to her bones, brain, liver, ovaries, lungs, and stomach.
Her family say she is fighting bravely to spend more time with her two sons, 14-year-old Cameron and Blake, and they are now raising money for care, specialist treatment, and to help her make memories with her boys
Her sisters Lucie and Amie said: “We want to support her. Katie would never ask for help herself.
“She has always been fiercely independent and the one supporting everyone else.
“We will do everything in our power to give Katie the chance to keep fighting – to give her more time with her boys, more birthdays, more Christmases and more memories.”
The money raised will go towards ongoing treatments and specialist care, travel to and from all hospital appointments, support with day-to-day living costs, and creating special memories with her boys.
The two said: “Every single contribution brings hope and helps us continue this fight alongside Katie.”
People who are unable to donate are encouraged to share the campaign to reach a wider audience.
Lucie and Amie said: “Your kindness, support, and generosity mean more to us than words can ever express.”
