The highly anticipated details for the regeneration of a brownfield site in Cardiff have been unveiled by developer Vastint UK as a public consultation launches today. Taxi firm offers free rides to elderly and vulnerable patients

Dragon Taxis, South Wales’ largest taxi and private hire vehicle operator, is offering free rides to help roll out the COVID-19 vaccine to elderly and vulnerable patients across Bridgend, Cardiff, Newport and Torfaen. GP practices across South Wales are taking their first steps in the process to tackle the pandemic by vaccinating the elderly and vulnerable in the local community. Sam Warburton is on a mission to raise £500,000 for Cardiff Dogs Home

Welsh Rugby legend Sam Warburton has had many titles in his career – a Grand Slam, the Six Nations, youngest ever World Cup captain – and now he’s retired, Cardiff Dogs Home Ambassador. Extra 400 tonnes of green recycling bags on Cardiff streets

Cardiff residents are complaining of a build up of recycling bags on city streets as rubbish fails to be collected since Christmas. Every year there is inevitably an increase in recycling bags following the Christmas and New Year period as people unwrap gifts. However, this year in particular, there is an estimated 400 tonnes of additional recycling waste that has to be collected by refuse collectors. Cardiff company spreads Christmas cheer, donating gifts to children and young people

Christmas cheer is spreading through NSPCC Cymru in Cardiff, thanks to a donation of gifts from a local company for the children and young people the charity supports. The Cardiff-based football club Caerau Ely juniors has been crowned Wales’ Community Club Of The Year, after previously receiving the same title in the South Wales region earlier this year. Plans for a new bridge to provide a direct link from Llanrumney to the A48 at the Pentwyn junction have taken a step forward following private-sector bids to deliver the scheme. Thousands take part in the first ever ‘Good Food Cardiff Autumn Festival’

Thousands of people across the city have taken part in the first Good Food Cardiff Autumn Festival.  Community groups, gardens, local businesses and schools organised 45 events and activities in the last two months, which attracted around 4,000 attendees and distributed more than 5,000 vegetable plants grown by Cardiff Council’s Bute Park Nurseries to encourage people to start growing at home. Warrior Women Collective surpasses crowdfunding target

A popular Cardiff-based female empowerment group has raised over £5,000 through crowdfunding to support the expansion of its events and online offering. Warrior Women Collective, which supports, empowers and celebrates women through events, content and its community, raised £5,308 through 129 supporters during the 28-day campaign.
