Cardiff supplies thousands of additional digital devices to schools

Cardiff Council continues its work to address the issue of digital deprivation and over the next few weeks a further 2,340 Chromebook devices will be delivered to schools to assist in the delivery of online and remote learning, whilst schools are closed due to COVID-19. This is in addition to the 12,775 new digital devices and 2,000 new 4G broadband devices already provided to schools since the start of the pandemic. Cardiff reveals plan for schools January return

Following extensive discussions, Welsh Government and the Welsh Local Government Association have set out a common approach for the return to school in January. With transmission levels continuing to increase across Wales, and uncertainty over what impact that might have on school staffing levels over the Christmas break, there will be some flexibility built in at the beginning of term. Report outlines proposals for a new Cathays High School

A report which recommends a public consultation is heldon proposals for the expansion and redevelopment of Cathays High School, will go to Cardiff Council’s Cabinet when it meets on Thursday 17, December 2020. If progressed,the new development would be delivered under Cardiff Council and Welsh Government’sBand B 21stCentury Schools programme as one of its priority schemes. Christ College unites with Cardiff Blues for inclusive rugby partnership

Christ College Brecon has teamed up with Cardiff Blues in a partnership aimed at developing rugby talent regardless of age or gender. The new partnership strengthens Christ College’s existing relationship with Cardiff Blues which provides a direct link to coaching expertise, strength and conditioning programmes, performance analysis and player welfare support for the school’s first XV.
